I'm supposed to be retired.
After 30+ years as a building contractor, I was ready to slow down and do something a little less strenuous.
So ... I bought a sawmill. LOL.
After 5 or 6 years of milling , here is where I am at.
I seldom mill wood that you can readily buy at the local lumber yard.
I do not have the time or the inclination to do large jobs. ( 100's of boards, etc)
I find that, at the moment, about 70% of my sales are 2" live edge slabs that will become table tops, bar tops, or such.
I also cut a bit of cypress for residential homes. Beams, siding, posts. I can also cut beveled or tapered siding.
We are not open as a retail store. I am in-and-out a lot., so you will always need to call and set a time to come and get wood or just look at slabs. Folks do it all the time.
Please feel free to call with any questions. (501)206-6226. My name is John Waldrup. I always enjoy talking about wood and helping people with their projects.
Thanks.
We are not open as a normal retail 9-5 store. You will need to set a time to come. People often need to come after work or on the weekend. And that's fine with me. I am in-and-out a lot, so calling ahead is necessary.
